Celebrity Media Alliance Special Report: To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of the United Nations World Declaration on Cultural Diversity, the launch ceremony for the establishment of the “Committee of the Chinese Community’s Celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary,” the first Chinese-American committee of its kind, was jointly initiated by more than ten organizations including the American Oriental Renaissance Global Alliance, Association of Chinese-American Scientists and Engineers, Chinese American Community Organizations, U.S.-China Fashion Association, American Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, United Open University USA / Human Health and Fashion 3.0 Academy of Sciences, American Fashion and Art Institute, Wall Street Asian Culinary Academy, American World Tao Culture Alliance, Hudson Art Space, American Laozi International Life and Health Research Center, Christian Wall Street Living Water Cedar Fellowship, New York Herald Christian Media College, New Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra, New York Writers Association, and American Snowbird Organization. The ceremony was officially held on May 21 at the Wall Street Asian Culinary Academy located on Wall Street in New York.
The event was hosted by Celebrity Media Alliance presenter Li Jingyu. Distinguished guests participated in a roundtable discussion centered on the theme “The Role and Future of Chinese Americans in the 250-Year History of the United States,” engaging in in-depth exchanges and reaching multiple consensuses. The meeting confirmed that the representatives attending the launch ceremony that day would jointly become the first members of the “Committee of the Chinese Community’s Celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.” In the future, after the committee establishes a formal operational structure, co-chairs will be elected democratically to jointly promote subsequent large-scale celebration events and cross-sector collaborative projects.
Professor Xu Quanrong, the initiator of the committee, stated in his speech that he hopes and welcomes Chinese Americans across the United States to actively participate in the commemoration activities for America’s 250th anniversary, jointly showcasing the contributions and achievements of Chinese Americans in social development, cultural advancement, technological innovation, and public welfare throughout the past 250 years of American history. Professor Xu Quanrong also called for more Chinese-American organizations, community associations, business representatives, corporations, and nonprofit institutions in the United States to join the committee platform, working together to compose an even more brilliant new chapter for the development of the more than six million Chinese Americans currently living in the United States. Participants expressed that America’s 250th anniversary is not only an important historical milestone for American society, but also a significant opportunity for the Chinese community to demonstrate cultural confidence, promote exchanges among diverse civilizations, and strengthen interethnic cooperation.
The event brought together distinguished Chinese-American representatives from various sectors across the United States, including leaders from the cultural and arts communities, technology professionals, educators, and community organization leaders, to jointly witness this historic moment as the Chinese community organized for the first time to prepare a series of commemorative events for America’s 250th anniversary. The launch ceremony adopted a contemporary, fashionable, diverse, and open format, combining both online global networking and in-person participation simultaneously. The event continued from daytime into the evening and even past midnight, with online guests from Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Guangdong, and even Japan participating across multiple time zones. They delivered enthusiastic speeches and congratulatory remarks, expressing their support and expectations for the Chinese community’s participation in commemorating America’s 250th anniversary. Guests from both China and abroad engaged in lively discussions on topics including cultural heritage, international exchange, youth development, and the future influence of the Chinese community worldwide.
Following the launch ceremony, distinguished guests gathered in the luxurious banquet hall of the Asian Culinary Academy for a luncheon, where the atmosphere was warm and vibrant. Subsequently, Celebrity Media Alliance presenter Li Jingyu conducted on-site interviews with several guests, including Professor Xu Quanrong, Chairman of the Committee of the Chinese Community’s Celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, Wu Kai, President of the American Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, and Liu Xishu, Dean of the Wall Street Asian Culinary Academy. The interviewees unanimously stated that the establishment of the “Committee of the Chinese Community’s Celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary” holds epoch-making historical significance.
