Celebrity Media Special Report: In 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its founding. This is not only a historic moment for the nation, but also an important time for a generation of immigrants, a community, and every family living on this land to rethink responsibility and mission.

Two hundred and fifty years is a time to look back, and also a time to move forward; it is a celebration, and also a reminder. We are not only beneficiaries of America’s prosperity and freedom, but should also become part of the force that helps build this nation’s future. In such a special year, the Chinese community should not merely be spectators. We should become active participants, guardians of peace, contributors to culture, and inheritors of values.

Harvest Weekly News: America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration and Carnegie Hall Concert

To welcome the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, a special Chinese interchurch and interdenominational prayer gathering will be held at Harvest Evangelical Church of New York on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. With the theme “Watch Over America, Cry Out for Renewal”, the event invites Chinese friends from different churches and community backgrounds to gather together in a solemn, sincere, and responsible manner to commemorate America’s Independence Day and to offer blessings and commitment for the future of this nation.

The significance of this gathering is not merely to commemorate a holiday, but to remind us that America’s future is closely connected to us. Our children are growing up here, our families are putting down roots here, and our work, education, and community life are deeply tied to this land. When America faces real challenges such as social division, confusion of values, pressure on families, the struggles of youth, and tensions in community relationships, the Chinese community should ask itself: What can we do? What legacy do we want to leave? What kind of America do we hope the next generation will live in?

The answer should not be merely complaint, nor should it be silence. We can begin by caring for our community, participating in public life, supporting families and the next generation, and promoting understanding among different ethnic groups. A mature community not only cares about its own interests, but is also willing to take responsibility for the shared future of the country in which it lives.

This special America 250th anniversary event will be held at Harvest Evangelical Church of New York, located at 5447 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck, NY 11362. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The organizers sincerely invite churches, community leaders, families, young people, and friends who care about America’s future to participate together, responding to this historic moment on Independence Day with unity, dignity, and positive action.

At the same time, another highly anticipated cultural and musical event will take place this fall. The “Voice of Homeland Music Evangelistic Concert”, hosted by Heavenly Melody and co-sponsored by Harvest Evangelical Church of NY, will be held at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Carnegie Hall is a world-class artistic stage, and bringing the “Voice of Homeland” concert into this hall represents more than a musical performance. It is an important opportunity for the Chinese community to participate in New York’s cultural life through music and to present faith, art, and the power of life to the broader society. Music can transcend language, and singing can connect hearts. When people from different backgrounds listen, feel, and resonate in the same space, culture and conviction are no longer just slogans, but become a visible public witness.

This “Voice of Homeland Music Evangelistic Concert” will feature a large united choir and professional musical presentation, inviting church members and community friends to participate together. With the theme “Sharing the Gospel Through Song, Letting Lives Encounter Hope”, the event seeks to convey encouragement, hope, and renewal through music. For the Chinese community, this is also an important cultural expression: we not only live in America, but are also willing to enrich this city with our voices, artistry, and spiritual strength.

From the America 250th anniversary special gathering on July 4 to the Carnegie Hall music concert on November 1, Harvest Evangelical Church of New York and related ministries are responding to this era in two different ways: on one hand, by calling the Chinese community to take responsibility, care for society, and participate in building the nation at a major historic milestone; on the other hand, by stepping onto a broader platform through music and the arts to demonstrate the faith, culture, and unity of the Chinese community.

America’s 250th anniversary should not be only about fireworks, parades, and celebration. It should also become a moment for us to rethink identity, responsibility, and the future. As Chinese people living in America, we can bring diligence, family values, passion for education, and community spirit to this nation. We can also bring peace, blessing, and a constructive force.

History does not automatically become better, and communities do not naturally flourish on their own. Everyone who is willing to participate is part of the future. In 2026, let us not merely watch America’s 250th anniversary, but take part together, stand watch together, and contribute together, so that our families, our communities, and the next generation may continue to take root, grow, and become a blessing on this land.
