Celebrity media journalists Ziyuan and Allen reporting live from Beijing, China: The highly anticipated 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services was successfully held in Beijing, China, over the course of five days, taking center stage on the grand platform of the global economy.
The fair resulted in nearly a thousand achievements in seven categories, including deals and investments, primarily focusing on sectors such as construction, finance, and business services. Reporters learned that this year’s transaction volumes across all districts and thematic areas in Beijing exceeded those of the previous session. During the "Beijing Day" and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Investment Promotion Conference, the three regions jointly announced 202 key investment cooperation projects, with 24 successful signings. It was also announced that the Beijing E-Town Comprehensive Bonded Zone received approval from the State Council, making it the fastest approved bonded zone in the country.
This year’s China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing Municipal Government. It is a national, international, and comprehensive large-scale platform specifically designed for showcasing and trading in services. The fair serves as an important platform for China to expand its openness, deepen cooperation, and lead innovation.
This year’s China International Fair for Trade in Services adhered to the concept of "Global Services for Mutual Benefit and Shared Success," with a focus on smart services and open development. It hosted the Global Trade in Services Summit, curated a comprehensive exhibition along with 9 thematic exhibitions, and organized 13 themed forums, 88 specialized forums, 56 negotiation and promotion meetings, and 25 side events. The fair attracted over 2,000 companies to participate in person and more than 6,000 companies online. According to statistics, nearly 242,000 attendees visited the event by the time it closed, with over 100,000 professional visitors invited to participate, marking a 20% increase compared to last year.
